We want to put our customers minds at ease. If you are a new client or thinking about getting your first dog, you may have some questions about how the grooming process works. We invite you to take a few moments to browse through our frequently asked questions. Should you not find the answer to your specific question, please feel free to contact us.

When Should your puppy have his first groom?

It is important you get your puppy in for a groom as soon as possible so they can get used to the grooming process and see it as a normal part of doggy life. We recommend puppies are booked in two weeks after the first vaccinations. We offer a puppy package up to the age of 6 months and usually do not clip his/her coat before this time to avoid causing any damage to the adult coat coming through. We do trim face, feet and hygiene areas. The aim of the puppy package is to get your puppy used to the sights and sounds of the salon to ensure future visits are stress free.

How long does a groom take?

A groom can vary depending several factors including, length and condition of coat, size and breed. On average our full grooms are completed within one and a half to two hours with breeds that do not require a full cut and puppies being around an hour.

How much does it cost for my dog to be groomed?

Our prices are mainly based on breed but can then slightly vary depending on hair length, condition and temperament. If you would like a price from us, please get in touch and we would be happy to help you.

Can I stay with my dog when they are being groomed?

Your dog will likely want to be close to you and wiggle around which is not safe for grooming. We also are not insured to have clients in the grooming area. It is best to drop him/her off at their scheduled appointment time and return to collect them when their treatment is finished. We are happy for you to contact us whilst your dog is being groomed to see how they are doing.

How often should my dog be groomed?

The length and type of coat your dog has will determine how often they need to be groomed. Once your dog has been in for one appointment with us your groomer will be able to advise and discuss with you the best schedule for your dog.

What type of payment do you accept?

We accept cash and card payments. We are also able to offer payment via bank transfer prior to the grooming appointment, if required.

Do I need to bring anything with me for the appointment?

Please feel free to bring any special blankets, toys or treats you know your pooch loves. If you have any preferences or requirements of haircuts and have a photo of what you would like please bring that with you too to show your groomer.

Before your dog comes to his/her appointment we strongly recommend they have the chance to relieve themselves. If possible, try to avoid them eating a meal immediately prior to your appointment.

What if I am not happy with the service I receive?

If for any reason you are not happy with the service you receive from us, please tell us as soon as possible. Customer satisfaction is a top priority for us, we want all our customers to walk away feeling like their dogs have been in the best hands and are highly satisified with the service they have had. We welcome all feedback good and not so good as it helps us continually improve our services and above all else we want the opportunity to put right anything we can.
